而应在传统的理论史研究、文本研究、民族志研究之外为我们提供新的启迪。

  

   【注释】

   ①宗教理性选择理论也被称为宗教经济模型(religious economic model)、宗教经济学(economics of religion)、宗教市场理论(religious market theory)等等,严格来说这几个概念是有区别的,斯达克等人开创的研究范式最初是以交换理论为基础的,后来采用了理性选择理论,艾纳孔早先称自己的研究为宗教经济学,斯达克、芬克、艾纳孔后来又改称宗教经济模型。此外,由于这套理论中讨论宗教市场的部分引起了最广泛的关注,许多学者尤其是中文学界又将其称为宗教市场理论。本文为了行文方便,采用了“宗教理性选择理论”这一表述,一是因为“宗教经济学”容易产生误解,实际上这是一个宗教社会学的研究范式,而非一个经济学的分支;二是因为“宗教市场理论”是对这一研究范式的误解,实际上宗教理性选择理论不仅讨论宏观的宗教市场,也讨论微观的宗教行为选择与中观的宗教组织动力学。
